When I first started Goat Nails, I was all in. I spent hours painting, packaging, and perfecting every set of press-on nails, excited to finally be doing something creative and building something of my own. Like a lot of beginner nail artists, I thought the dream was selling beautiful nails and watching the orders roll in.
I opened my Etsy shop. I built a website. I created designs I was proud of. And once I figured out how to actually get sales, I made a lot of them. Between selling on Etsy and on my own website, I made about $10k. Along the way, I received so many questions from those looking to get started and I enjoyed providing the info.
Eventually, I realized what I loved most was helping others—I’m a teacher at heart, so after I figured it all out and made a ton of sales, I realized helping others launch their own businesses was where I belonged. I couldn’t stop thinking about the people just starting out. The ones still trying to get that first sale. Still googling which tools to buy. Still second-guessing whether they were good enough to start. I remembered being in that place and wishing someone would just show me the way.
That’s when everything clicked: I wanted to be the person I needed when I was starting. Someone to help others launch their own nail businesses with clarity and confidence.
So I slowly stopped selling nails—and leaned all the way into this.
Now, Goat Nails is a space for aspiring nail entrepreneurs. I share what I’ve learned through blog posts, business planners, digital resources, and honest behind-the-scenes lessons like this one. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure if you’re cut out for this—you’re exactly who I’m here for.
Because success in the nail world isn’t just about pretty designs. It’s about knowing where to start, having the right tools, and believing in yourself enough to keep going.
And if no one’s told you yet—you’ve got this.
