When I started selling press on nails I discovered many things that have worked for getting my listings seen in Etsy search results. First, check out this post to set up your Etsy Shop, then see below I’ve listed several tips that will help you to make your way into Etsy search results.

1. Look at other press on nail sellers and pay attention to the title and tags used by the top sellers. Take notice of how specific they are when titling their items. You can find the tags at the very bottom of their listing page under Explore Related Searches.
2. Think like a buyer and try to use the keywords, in your title and tags, they would use to search for your item. Instead of using just “press on nails”, try more specific keywords like “pink butterfly press ons” or “blue cloud & marble press on nails”.
3. Make sure your keywords are in the first few words of the title. The closer your listing title is to what your buyer is typing into the search box, the better your chances of your listing popping up in the search results. Etsy is paying closer attention to the first few words at the beginning of your title.
4. Your listing should have your keywords repeated throughout your title, description, and tags.
5. Make sure to use the Etsy app often. Apparently, Etsy gives preference to you if you are active in the app. You could do things like edit your shop, add announcements, add behind-the-scenes pics, videos, etc.
6. Etsy also gives preference to those that have faster processing times, so keep that in mind as well.
7. Add listings often. The more listings you have the more chances your listing will be seen in search results. You can sometimes just copy the listings you already have and change the pictures or copy a listing and just change the title.
8. Offer Free Shipping. Etsy gives preference to those shops that offer free shipping and therefore will show your listing more. You can always make up for this by tucking the shipping cost into the price of the item.
9. One last thing is to make sure to promote your listing on Pinterest by clicking on the share button within your listing. This will post your listing directly to Pinterest which can also get more eyes on your listings and bring them over from Pinterest to Etsy.
