Ever wonder if you can create a website for your Press on Nail business? You guys know by now that I always try to get straight to the point and make things as easy as possible, right?! So today won’t be any different, I want to take you through the simple and easy process of creating a website with WordPress. The cost is very minimal. There’s a little bit of time involved but YOU CAN DO IT!
This post may contain affiliate links, which means I/we may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link. Please see our full disclosure for further information.
I decided to do a little mini-series to take you through the steps of setting up your professional-looking website over the next few blog posts. I will show you how to get hosting, install WordPress.org, and get a theme. In part one, I’ll be going over hosting and installing WordPress. I promise you the process will not be as painful as you may think.
I was able to set up my own website, without any special training or classes, so I am confident you can do the same.
First things first what is hosting and why do you need it?
The simplest way to explain it is to think of hosting the same as a wedding. You need a venue for everyone to see your wedding ceremony. Hosting is the venue, “everyone” is the internet and your website is the wedding ceremony.
Hosting makes your website viewable on the internet and in your case allows you somewhere to showcase and sell your press on nails. Was that a good example or did I just confuse you?! Lol, hopefully, you’re still with me.
There are many different options when choosing hosting for your website. You can do a google search though, to find other hosting sites to compare. I can only recommend the one I have knowledge of, which is Host Gator. Make sure to read part 2 and in no time you’ll have a professional-looking website to showcase and sell your press on nails.

Choose Your Plan
Choose Your Domain
Now enter your billing information.
You won’t need the things in step 5 so you can skip that step or you can look through them and check the boxes of EXTRA fees that may interest you. Otherwise, you can move on to the last step, review your order details, and checkout.
Install WordPress
After checkout, you should see a screen like the below picture.
From here you’ll want to select View Your Dashboard, then select C Panel. Now, look for Quick Installer in the software section.
Now click Install WordPress. Select the domain name you purchased then click next.
Next, you can add a website title if you’d like then user name, name, and email address. Check the terms of service agreement box then Click Install.
Make sure to come back for Part 2- Getting Your Theme Setup.
