Creating a chart to showcase your available press on nail shapes is a great way to increase your sales. This press on nail shape chart will help give your customer a visual idea of how a certain nail shape/length will look on an actual finger, which helps them to envision themselves wearing the nails, which makes them want to buy, which….well you get the point, right?!

This post was about how to create a press on nail shapes chart.
Although the chart is pretty simple in general to create I must admit some parts are a bit time-consuming, but definitely worth it and very helpful to your customers.
First, choose a nail shape and length you want to work with. Decide what you feel looks most flattering on most hands. Let’s say you chose long coffin.
Next, choose one nail size to work with. It’s easiest if you choose the size of your own pointer finger. Let’s say you chose size 6. So grab one of each of the nail shapes/lengths you will be offering your customers. Let’s say you will offer 8 different nail shapes/lengths then you should have 8 different nail shapes/lengths in front of you. Each one should be in a size 6.
Then decide on a color that compliments your brand colors in some way and paint them all that color.
Easy so far right?! Well it’s about to get a bit tedious.
You’ll need to take a photo of each nail shape/length on your pointer finger, put the name of each nail shape/length on each picture then arrange them all in a collage. Not much right?!
- Choose a nice background color/design that doesn’t clash with the color you chose for the nails in your chart. When taking the photo of each nail try to get the same angle each time so the nails look cohesive when you put them all together.
- Using the app Typorama you can add the name for each nail shape/length. You can use any other apps you know of that will accomplish this as well, I just prefer Typorama and have been using it for a few years now.
- Once all the names have been added to the photos head over to the app Live Collage or any other collage app you know of. Using the freestyle option in Live Collage, select all of your saved photos to arrange them in the collage. Then save and you’re done.
When selling your press on nails, this chart will go right along side the photo of your nail set and the size chart. Keep an eye out for future press on nail tips that will help you along your journey of running your own press on nail business.
